Trevallan’s Rose Workshop

It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.”    ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Roses we all adore the flowers yet sometimes we put them in the too hard to grow category … they seem to get a bit of a bad rap here in South East Queensland. I know myself I am not an avid lover of the rose bush. They just seem like too much trouble.

This is the workshop that will make rose growing seem easy and fun!! The workshop that will make appreciate the thorn bush for the rose!

The workshop is designed for all rose lovers, growers and hopeful growers. We will be focussing on the varieties of roses grown, conditions for growing roses well, soil conditions, planting and pruning. Plus Seasonal Care for Roses – fertilising and managing pests and diseases and even Growing Roses in Pots.

We will showcase some great products from Searles Garden Products, eco-organic garden and Plant of Health Eco Friendly Fertilisers.

Our resident Horticultural expert – The Mountain Man has over 30 years experience being the grandson and son of rose growers. He has been involved in commercial rose growing for the nursery and cut flower industry, managed them in clients landscapes and of course grown them for himself over the years. His love of roses was the stepping stone to his career in horticulture.
